Jackscrew Mount

The Jackscrew mount consists of a motorised Azimuth with a travel range of 0 to 360 degrees ( practically 0 to 355 degrees) and a motorized Elevation screw jack with a travel range of 0 to 90 degrees (practically 5 to 85 degrees). This basic model is suitable for low-speed motorized antenna applications. The disadvantage of this model is a Zenith Keyhole problem, which means the mount is unable to see a region of your zenith area.

Full rotation

Full Rotation Mount

The full rotation mount consists of a motorised Azimuth with a travel range of 0 to 360 degrees ( practically 0 to 355 degrees) and a motorized Elevation system with a travel range of 0 to 180 degrees (practically 5 to 175 degrees). This model is suitable for low-speed and medium-speed motorized antenna applications. The advantage of this model is that it eliminates the Zenith Keyhole problem, which means the mount is able to see a region of your zenith area. In this model, you can choose a single, double or variable speed controller depending on your application.

Tracking Mount

Tracking mount refers to professional class and high-end products in X/Y or El/Az (full rotation) configuration with high acceleration and high-speed movement capabilities. For tracking the object, tracking accuracy and low backlash are essential, so the dual-motors technology on each axis and servo motor/controller will be considered.

XY Mounts

The X-Y mount antenna is used to track high-speed objects, e.g. low earth orbit (LEO) satellites or any fast-flying object. This type of antenna eliminates the “keyhole” issue so that it can track objects in the zenith direction, cable winding, and backlash problems. These advantages of the X/Y antenna design can now be achieved with very small and lightweight components.

The X/Y mount can cover the whole hemisphere without any discontinuation. The mount is very suitable for program, automatic, and single-pulse tracking. It is often used for remote sensing.
